A new chocolate shop, a move for M&M Games, and several closures including Black Sheep Bar

25 Nov 2013

Thorntons chocolate shop is soon to open a branch at 115 North End, which has been vacant for at least a year and a half.

M&M Games, previously at 6 The Arcade (just off the High Street) has changed its name to Playnation Games and moved to a more prominent position at 17 High Street (next to the old Banana Joe's Bar, where High Street Bathrooms used to be).

Authentic Roots at 96 High Street has closed its physical shop and will be moving to online only. A new charity shop called Hidden Gems, run by the Buddhist Centre next door, is due to open in its place on Monday 2 December.

Bustles & Bows at 48 Church Street has moved to Tonbridge, Kent, where it is now known as Amoria Bridal. Signs in the windows of the Church Street premises indicate that the next occupant will be a St Christopher's charity shop.

Jennings Bet at 36 George Street has closed.

Finally, Black Sheep Bar at 68 High Street has closed for good. Bad Apple, under the same management, remains open on Park Street.
