It was previously a branch of Pavers shoe shop <small>[https://www.flickr.com/photos/kake_pugh/14513137637/ photo]</small>, and the new name was created simply by removing the "P" from the frontage sign and the projecting sign. According to a manager in November 2015, the intention is to continue under the name of "Avers".

As of January 2016, there are signs in the windows saying it's closing down, but we don't know if this is actually going to happen.
