It was previously a mobile phone shop called Chitter Chatter <small>[https://www.flickr.com/photos/kake_pugh/17110019185/ photo]</small>, but this closed down in January or February 2017. <div class="history"> [https://www.flickr.com/photos/23066873@N02/4955100330/ According to a photo on Flickr], as of c. 1985 the premises were occupied by a branch of Thorntons, and [https://www.flickr.com/photos/23066873@N02/8230089238/ according to another], it was still Thorntons in 1989. Note that its neighbour to the left is not 94 North End, but [[Thomas Cook, 96-98 North End|96-98 North End]]; this is probably because 94 North End was demolished at some point in the latter half of the 20th century, with the space now forming an entrance to the [[Locale Whitgift Centre|Whitgift Centre]].
