It was previously a jewellers called Aurum <small>[https://www.flickr.com/photos/kake_pugh/7676656062/ photo]</small>, but this closed some time between July 2015 and April 2016. According to a member of staff (via a phone call), they were on South End for 31 years but then the lease ran out and they decided to focus their business on their other premises at 290 Lower Addiscombe Road.

A Caribbean restaurant called Little Mobay opened in September 2016 <small>[https://www.flickr.com/photos/kake_pugh/29318624454/ photo]</small> but closed again some time between October 2017 and mid-2018.
