According to a photo on Flickr, as of c. 1980 the premises were occupied by the Croydon Vacuum Centre, which offered spare parts and servicing for vacuum cleaners and washing machines. According to another, it was still Croydon Vacuum Centre in 1989.

By May 2012 it was a convenience store called Mega Mall photo. Some time between August 2016 and March 2017 this changed into a cafe/takeaway that also sold groceries, though it kept the same name.

As of March 2017 there was a sign in the window photo indicating it would become a cafe called Cafe 5, but this new name never materialised.

Existence last checked in February 2018.
