As of January 2014 it was stripped out and there was shopfitting work going on inside, though there are no clues as to what it would be when it opened again. As of August 2014 it's still vacant. Still vacant as of November 2014.
As of July 2012, the frontage of World News advertised "open till late, off licence, English & Polish food, news & mag, fruit & veg, toys, greeting cards, party items, mobile top-up" as well as "Oyster ticket stop".
World News closed some time between February 2013 and January 2014.
