Large post office on the High Street.
There's been a post office on this site for quite some time. Kelly's 1913 Directory of Surrey (page 100) lists it as "Post, M. O., T. & Telephonic E. D. Office", with postmaster A. P. Wakeman and chief clerk C. T. Allaway presiding over "ordinary business", money order and postal order issue and payment, telegram dispatch, and "savings bank, insurance & annuity & inland revenue business".
