By October 2010 it was occupied by a chain bar called Yates's <small>[https://www.flickr.com/photos/55935853@N00/5131649895/ photo]</small>, but this closed some time between February and April 2015. The premises were still vacant as of July 2015, May 2016, January 2017, and March 2017. In April 2016, the Five Guys burger chain was granted prior approval ([https://publicaccess3.croydon.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=ZZZW0CJLXB165 ref 16/01251/GPDO]) to open a branch in part of the building. Progress on this appeared to be slow, but in February 2017 they were granted further approval ([http://publicaccess2.croydon.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=OGUGH0JLK5L00 ref 16/05869/FUL]) for a shopfront sign.
