Until January 2013 this was a camera shop called Jessops photo; however, this closed photo of sign in January 2013 when the chain went into administration photo of administration notice.

It was bought by Morrisons in February 2013, and according to the Croydon Advertiser (webpage now deleted) was planned to open as an "M Local" store. As of November 2013 work had started on the site photo, and signs went up a little later stating that it was due to open at 9am on Monday 9 December 2013 photo of sign. It was definitely open by the end of December that year photo, but closed again some time between August 2014 and July 2015.

The premises were vacant as of July 2015, October 2015 photo, December 2015, May 2016, January 2017, and March 2017.

Around June or July 2017, a hire-purchase furniture shop called Bright House (pictured) moved here from its previous location at 145-147 North End. This was still in place in December 2019.
