Business premises on Wellesley Road, vacant and partly stripped out as of September 2019.
It was previously a newsagent and confectioner called Uday News (pictured), but this closed down some time between July and September 2019.
In April 2019 Croydon Council granted prior approval for conversion from a shop to a cafe/restaurant (ref 19/01061/GPDO).
It was open as Uday News (a newsagent, tobacconist, and off licence) by July 2012 photo, but this version of the business closed down some time between October 2013 and June 2014. As of July 2014 there were bailiff's notices in the windows, dated 17 June 2014: photo 1, photo 2. It was still vacant as of July 2015. However, as of late September 2015 it was open again, still with the same signage, but under different management, selling newspapers, magazines, drinks, crisps, and confectionery.
