It was previously an opticians called For Eyes, which opened in August 2015, but this moved to Greenwich some time around October 2017.

According to a photo on Flickr, as of December 1990 the premises were occupied by a "wholesale & retail fishmonger and poulterer" called H Taylor (proprietor M H Riches).

In 1993 it became Memory Lane Records: see Bygone Croydon article and photograph of the shop in 2012. This closed down some time between October 2013 and August 2015.
