According to a photo on Flickr, as of c. 1985 the site was occupied by a shop called Ghinns Wools (most easily visible at large size).
By January 2012 it was a branch of the William Hill betting shop chain photo, but this closed down in September 2019 photo of sign. The premises were still vacant as of December 2019.
