According to a sign seen in the window in September 2012 photo, no alcohol is permitted on the premises.

According to the Croydon Advertiser, this was the site of the first curry house to open in Croydon, in 1958. According to a photo on Flickr, it's been called Depa Indiana since at least c. 1985 (most easily visible at original size); see also a photo from February 2009.
